Lionelabout 1 year agoBeing a long time commuter I could not agree more with Rick and Bradley regarding GO Transit service.
Regular Train service linked to public transit can work wonders for a community. Full sized GO stations are fairly 'big' things, so I suspect the station would need to be out by Lynden/Garden and this potential Union-Aldershot-Brantford line would compete on the same train lines and scheudle with the existing Union-Aldershot-Hamilton service. But even an hourly rush hour system would prove beneficial.

Get this project finally finished and reduce truck traffic on rest acres road.
1 comment2Udit Rabout 1 year agoBetter Commercial Infrastructure
We need Better Commercial infrastructure (Shops and Grocery stores etc.) to support the increasing population in Paris. There is a Large number of New Residential community on Rest Acre Rd. and so it would be good to have a good mixture of residential and commercial infrastructure.
0 comment0Mike Bover 1 year agoClose the main street from Mechanic to William,
route 2 way traffic around the core. fix the road to Silver street. let the downtown be open plaza, let bars and restaurants use the space for patios, build a 2 level parkade behind rexal and old OPP site. Smoother traffice, better tourism
0 comment3Rob Roperabout 1 year agoHoping the new official plan is allowing for places such as Braeside Camp to allow year round housing.
There are approximately 49 homes that are available to take some of the strain in local rental market. They have available infrastructure already in place. .
