The County of Brant is developing a 10-Year Community Services Strategic Plan to guide the future of Community Services in Brant. This includes parks, trails, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, community programs, cemeteries, green spaces, and trails.

This plan will help us understand and prepare for the needs of our growing and changing community. By setting clear priorities and service standards, we can ensure our facilities, programs, and services continue to improve quality of life for everyone in the community, now and in the future.

We want to hear from you! Your input will help us make informed decisions about where to invest time, resources, and funding to best serve residents and visitors.

Why this plan matters

The plan will:

  • Guide future growth – ensuring parks, trails, and recreation facilities keep up with community needs.
  • Support healthy, active living – with programs and spaces for all ages and abilities.
  • Protect and enhance green spaces and trails – preserving nature and improving access to outdoor recreation.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources – planning for sustainable and cost-effective services.
  • Strengthen community connections – creating spaces and programs that bring the community together.

By participating, you’ll help us understand what’s most important to you, Whether it’s more recreational programming, better-maintained trails, or new facilities.

  • Share hello..is there a long term plan for more trails and footpaths to connect neighborhoods. for example lions park to the arena along the top of Mile Hill. and also from the golf course development to downtown along the river where the grand valley trail used to be in the 1990s across the river from the rail trail. on Facebook Share hello..is there a long term plan for more trails and footpaths to connect neighborhoods. for example lions park to the arena along the top of Mile Hill. and also from the golf course development to downtown along the river where the grand valley trail used to be in the 1990s across the river from the rail trail. on Twitter Share hello..is there a long term plan for more trails and footpaths to connect neighborhoods. for example lions park to the arena along the top of Mile Hill. and also from the golf course development to downtown along the river where the grand valley trail used to be in the 1990s across the river from the rail trail. on Linkedin Email hello..is there a long term plan for more trails and footpaths to connect neighborhoods. for example lions park to the arena along the top of Mile Hill. and also from the golf course development to downtown along the river where the grand valley trail used to be in the 1990s across the river from the rail trail. link

Thank you for the question. There will be some improvements on Dundas Street that lead from Lions Park to better connect to the Multi-use trail on Rest Acres Road that takes you to the Brant Sports Complex.

A trail network is being constructed by the developer for the Paris Grand subdivision that will connect to Charlton Drive and throughout the subdivision on the south side by the river as well as north of Bendemere Rd.

Other connections and improvements are planned as roads are renovated and properties become available to improve walkability throughout communities.
