Arlington Meadows Subdivision Park and Splash Pad
The County of Brant is excited to share plans for the new Arlington Meadows Subdivision Park and Splash Pad in Paris, a space designed for fun, community connection, and nature exploration. We need your input to bring this project to life!
In June 2023, we gathered community feedback for the initial design concepts through a Parks and Recreation survey which helped shape this large 5 acre park into two unique themes, Orchard and Woods & Wildlife.

In June 2023, we gathered community feedback for the initial design concepts through a Parks and Recreation survey which helped shape this large 5 acre park into two unique themes, Orchard and Woods & Wildlife.
To be located on Becker Street in the Arlington Meadows subdivision, both designs include:
- a splash pad
- playgrounds
- full sized lit basketball court
- softball field
- seasonal washrooms
- accessible pathways
- spaces for all ages and abilities to enjoy year-round
However, each concept highlights their own distinct ways to experience nature and enjoy outdoor activities.
Orchard signifies a cultivated, vibrant landscape full of trees arranged in linear patterns, symbolising growth, nourishment, and community. This vibrant design was inspired by orchards with lush greenery and includes educational play and gathering spaces.
Woods and Wildlife emphasizes the untamed, diverse ecosystem, conservation, and the connection between plants and animals. This organic design celebrates biodiversity and includes forest patches, animal-themed play features, and a connection to nature.

Share I don't see any pickleball courts in the plans. Consideration of these would be appropriate. The only one I am aware of is on Hartley Ave in the north end of town. on Facebook Share I don't see any pickleball courts in the plans. Consideration of these would be appropriate. Share I have no idea where this park is going to be. Neither google maps or the design layout shows the streets they are on. A basic in context map would be helpful for reviewing this proposal. on Facebook Share I have no idea where this park is going to be. Share I chose the Orchard theme for the primary reason of a larger splash pad surface. Regardless of the design, there should be a predominance of food-bearing trees and a commitment to the 3x30x300 tree canopy guideline. on Facebook Share I chose the Orchard theme for the primary reason of a larger splash pad surface.
