Operating since 2019, Brant Transit is the County’s pre-booked, shared-ride public transportation program. In January 2024, we transitioned to Via Transportation as our Brant Transit service provider. A year later, we are now looking to gather your feedback to assess satisfaction with Brant Transit and aiming to explore further opportunities with your input.

Why Your Feedback Matters

  • Service Evaluation: Assessing the frequency and purpose of your trips helps us tailor our services to better meet community needs.

  • Quality Improvement: Understanding your satisfaction levels allows us to identify strengths and areas for enhancement.

  • Future Planning: Your suggestions contribute to the development

  • Share My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair or electric mobility scooter for all travel. The majority of time we drive ourselves but occasionally take a train trip from Brantford and need a ride to get us to and from the station. Some years back we could book a wheelchair cab and journey from our home in Brant County, specifically Paris, to Brantford, e.g. for the trips by train to and from the VIA station. We were entitled to a discounted fare and we could book for daytime and evening rides when our train arrived in Brantford to take us and our luggage home.. We tried to use the current system but it did not address our needs. We hired a wheelchair cab to take my husband home from hospital in Brantford last summer and it was a very stressful journey. The driver was speeding and reckless. We now depend on family to take our accessible van for such needed trips. More and more of our ageing population need and want to be able to travel and many cannot afford regular taxi rates. on Facebook Share My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair or electric mobility scooter for all travel. Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting the challenges you and your husband have faced. We’re truly sorry to hear about the stressful journey. Your feedback is incredibly important and will help us identify areas where improvements are needed. The County aims to serve all residents equitably, and we recognize that accessible transportation plays a key role in supporting independence and community participation for people with disabilities and our aging population. Your comments will be shared directly with our transportation team for further review as we work to improve the service.

As for ride discounts, please know that a support person can ride for free with the paying rider ($5.00 for general, $3.00 for a senior).

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and please reach out if you have further questions.
