FAQs
What is Brant Transit?
Brant Transit is the County’s pre-booked, shared-ride, public transportation service. Brant Transit is deemed a form of Conventional Transit Service under the AODA. It is important to note that a Conventional Transit Service is different from a Specialized or Paratransit Service.
What is a fixed-route service?
A Fixed Route Transit Service is a public transportation system that operates along a predetermined route with scheduled stops at designated locations. Buses or other transit vehicles follow a consistent path and timetable, allowing passengers to board and get off at specific stops along the route without the need to pre-book.
What is a specialized or paratransit service?
Specialized or Paratransit Services are designed specifically for individuals who are unable to use conventional public transit due to a disability. These services are more personalized and flexible than a Conventional Transit Service, accommodating the specific needs of passengers with disabilities. These services also require a registration and approval process prior to being able to access this service.
The County does not offer these services.
