With the support of the the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund (GMF) Growing Canada’s Community Canopies initiative, the County of Brant is planning a two-year tree-planting initiative to strengthen our urban tree canopy, enhance biodiversity, and support climate resilience. Planting will take place in cemeteries, parks, and natural spaces using native species such as tulip trees, maples, oaks, elms, and dogwoods, chosen to thrive locally and enrich habitat.
