This section of Grand River Street North is expected to see higher traffic volumes as the community grows.

Following reconstruction, Grand River Street North will be better equipped to support pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, children, guardians, school staff, residents, businesses, and emergency services.
When did this project start and what public engagement occurred?
Planning for this project began in 2017 through an Environmental Assessment and public engagement process.
The Environmental Assessment helped identify future transportation and infrastructure needs along the corridor and established a long-term plan for improvements to support growth in north Paris.

Construction began in 2023 and 2024 with major underground infrastructure work. During this phase, sanitary sewers and watermains were replaced along Grand River Street North between Bradbury Crescent and Hartley Avenue.
What work will be included?
The project includes:
Ann Wilson Way will extend east from Grand River Street North and provide access to the North Paris Fire Hall, Paris Memorial Forest, and the Gilbert Water Treatment Plant.
