What We Heard
Here’s a quick look at what you told us:
🎉 You love community events — and want more variety!
Top favourites include food festivals, farmers’ markets, seasonal celebrations, music, and family-friendly activities. Many residents also want to see:
- More live music, food festivals, and farmers’ markets
- More holiday and seasonal celebrations
- Events that are affordable and accessible to all ages
📍Paris is a hub—but there’s room to grow across the County.
Many suggested making better use of spaces like Lions Park and downtown Paris, while ensuring events happen throughout the County.
🤔 Concerns were few, but worth noting.
While 60% of participants had no concerns, a few shared feedback on:
- Traffic and street closures
- Noise from amplified sound
- High admission costs for vendor events
- Limited promotion beyond social media
- Scheduling issues for families and seniors
📣 You want better promotion.
Most people hear about events on social media or by word of mouth. Some miss out because they didn’t hear about events early enough or at all. You suggested:
- Sending out monthly event calendars
- Using more print ads and community bulletin boards
- Promoting through local businesses, groups, and public spaces
