Thank you to the residents who attended the November 24 Open House and to those who shared feedback online between November 11, 2025, to January 31, 2026. Your input helps staff better understand how construction will affect daily life in this neighbourhood.
The focus of this engagement was to identify driveway access needs, parking and mobility considerations, and any other special requirements such as accessibility, deliveries, or property protection in the East Flats neighbourhood of Paris.

- 8 additional questions or comments received
- 40 residents attended the November 24 Open House
Here is a brief summary of what we heard:
- Clear and early communication about driveway closures and timelines are requested
- Due to limited space, a plan for temporary parking is needed
- Assurance that mature trees and private property will be protected
- Support for residents with mobility or health related needs is important
- Safe access for children walking to school and for delivery and service vehicles is required
What’s next
Staff will incorporate the feedback we received into construction planning and post maps and other construction materials before the project begins in the spring.
We work directly with residents who identified unique accessibility or property concerns and continue to share updates on this page as timelines are confirmed to reduce disruption and address concerns quickly.

Attend the Open House
Join us at an in-person Open House to learn more about the project, speak with County staff, and share your input.
Monday, November 24, 2025
County of Brant Council Chambers, 7 Broadway Street, West in Paris
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
You’ll have an opportunity to:
- View the preliminary project plans
- Ask questions about construction timing and impacts
- Discuss specific needs related to your property or driveway
This will be a drop-in open house. Though no formal presentation will be provided, design drawings will be available to view. County of Brant staff will be hand delivering notices to the neighbourhood residents outlined above on November 10 and 11, 2025.

The County of Brant is planning road reconstruction work in the East Flats neighbourhood in Paris. This multi-year project will take place in 2 phases and will replace aging underground infrastructure and improve local roads.
