  • Thank you for participating! Here's what we heard.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share your feedback. We received 209 survey responses and 71 quick poll responses. Your input has provided valuable insight into how the residents who participated want to receive information from the County.

Overall, we heard that participants want timely, practical information about services that affect daily life, along with updates on special events, recreation programs, and opportunities to get involved and share feedback about County projects.

Email was the clear favourite way to receive County information, followed by social media and the County's annual calendar. While most respondents preferred digital communication, many also emphasized that printed materials remain important for residents who have limited access to digital information or prefer paper copies.

Many participants told us they use a mix of communication channels to stay informed and appreciate receiving information directly, typically through email, rather than having to search for it. Respondents also shared that short headlines, reminder posts, and clear visuals are the most effective ways to attract attention.

We also heard positive feedback about the County's communication and public engagement efforts. At the same time, some residents identified opportunities to make information easier to find, particularly by improving website navigation and continuing to offer information through a variety of channels.
