In June 2023, we gathered community feedback for the initial design proposal through a Parks and Recreation survey. The proposal involves building an addition to the east side of the Brant Sports Complex, with ideas including:
A large gymnasium to accommodate sports like basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton.
Walking track.
Space for group activities such as fitness classes, preschool programs, seniors’ programming, summer camps, and community events.
Improved accessibility features to ensure the facility is welcoming to all.
A focus on sustainability, using environmentally friendly practices and materials.
The County of Brant is inviting you to share your feedback about a potential expansion. Your input is vital in helping us gauge community interest and understand priorities.
View the design concepts. These plans are preliminary concepts. The photos are samples of similar projects for consideration.
Should the project proceed, further engagement opportunities will be available to determine the detailed needs of the community.

Something I was just thinking about now, it would be nice to have a larger designated bulletin board for the Paris Skating Club. The current one is so small and it's hard to showcase anything on because of it's size. I'm sure the hockey and Ringette club would feel the same way.

Thank you for the feedback!
My original survey Q/A misquoted, by noting the Mayor of Brant County ( (Bailey) instead of the Mayor of Brantford ( Davis) simply a typo error. I completed another survey, noting the Mayor of Brantford correctly. I couldn’t find how to delete a survey response, and thus am writing to you. You’ll see 2 surveys from Country Gal….please disregard the one where I said Mayor Bailey at the end….supposed to read Mayor Davis. Not sure if this is doable at your end, but if so, it would be appreciated.

Thank you for the clarification!
Why is Paris the only centre being looked at for group activities, seniors programs etc. Oakland C.C. has an empty space where the tax office was previously just sitting empty and could be renovated to accommodate many of the programs at very little renovation costs. This would be a much better fit than the "for profit day care" currently being considered with costs over $200,000 that the county wants to subsidize with tax payers $. Why not move the day care to Paris instead ?
If an indoor pool is considered not cost effective, why is a $40 million+ library being considered when we have a perfectly serviceable library already?
