This linear park is located at 105 Woodslee Avenue, Paris. The park spans the distance between Hartley Ave and Woodlee Ave and includes a 200m meandering path that connects the two. This park is intended to be a passive space with a focus on natural components such as large shade trees, ornamental flowering trees, and many gardens and plantings. Some of the site elements include entry features (wood pergola and armour stone seat wall), a Zen garden, a bench swing, and a small informal play component. There is a plan for a future park expansion directly to the east which will include a larger play component.

The park name is due to its adjacency to Woodslee Avenue and its linear nature. The budget for the park is $200,000. New park construction is supported through development charges, so no direct costs are borne by the municipality. Construction is planned to begin the spring/summer of 2022.

Dawdy Park, located further down Hartley Avenue, is currently being constructed and includes more active components such as pickleball, a basketball court as well as a larger playground and community shed.

These two parks as well as new trails along Watt’s Pond will enhance the neighbourhood walkability and recreational opportunities.

Please refer to the conceptual plan that outlines the park features for more details.
