  • Fitness equipment
  • Walkways - 2.5m asphalt walkways through the park with site furnishings including benches, waste receptacles and more
  • Trees - larger shade trees, vegetative buffer to provide privacy for adjacent properties but maintain views
  • Park amenities

The budget for the park is $260,000. New parks are supported through development charges that account for 90% of the budget, with the municipality covering the remainder of the costs.

The park name proposed will honour Jay Wells, a former NHL hockey player who grew up in Paris.

Other parks being developed in the area are:

  • Mile Hill Meadows Park (35 Edgar Place) which will have a junior soccer field and playground.
  • Summit Park (98 Lorne Card Cres.), a parkette located at 16 Arlington Parkway. Summit Park Plan consultation is now available.
  • A larger 4.55 acre park in the Grandville subdivision next to 73 Grandville Circle which may be constructed in the next few years.
