Thank you to all who completed the survey and provided input. View the the summary survey report (also listed as a PDF under Documents on this page).
Pickleball lines were installed on a trial basis this summer and have been well received by the community.
The County of Brant invites local residents to provide feedback regarding Pickleball being played at the St. George Tennis Courts located at Gaukel Memorial Community Centre, 7 Gaukel Drive, St. George.
A trial day will be offered on Thursday, April 27 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. No registration required, just drop-in!
Players will be invited to play the game for approximately one (1) hour to allow for local residents to provide input regarding any nuisance/noise in the neighbourhood.
This trial is based on feedback from local players that have requested pickleball lines be installed on the tennis court to enable the facility to become more multi-use.

Pickleball is a great sport for all ages to participate in. It would be a great addition to the Village of St. George to add lines to the existing tennis court, so that Pickleball can be played. I agree with the other comment written here that the ice surface of the St. George Arena could also be utilized for Pickleball as a second indoor location, for the months that the ice surface is not in place.
Do I need to have my own equipment for the trial? I don’t have anything at this time
I have played this game in the past and have been looking continuously for a local place to play
I am very interested!
I would only be available to play in the evenings
The resources of the county are underutilized. In St. George the ice surface sits unused from April to September. Pickleball could be played indoors as well. Possibly even roller skating.
