The first annual Park vs. Park showdown has ended. Thank you for participating!

This summer, the County of Brant is turning up the heat with Park vs. Park, a fun and friendly showdown to crown Brant’s Favourite Park!

From hidden gems to local favourites, parks will go head-to-head in a bracket-style competition — and you get to decide who advances. Spread the word, vote, and show your park pride as we narrow it down to the ultimate community park champion.

How it Works

Parks in each of the County's 5 Wards will face off in six action-packed rounds of voting. You’ll have one week to vote in each round (except the grand finale – that one gets two weeks of fanfare!). Once each Ward’s winning park is chosen, the final five will go into the ultimate Park vs. Park championship round.

Voting Begins

Ward 1 Parks: Monday, June 9
Ward 2 Parks: Monday, June 16
Ward 3 Parks: Monday, June 23
Ward 4 Parks: Monday, June 30
Ward 5 Parks: Monday, July 7

Competition Details

Each Round Lasts: 1 week - with last round voting open for 2 weeks
Final Round Voting Starts: Monday, July 14 (winners of each Ward face-off)
Winner Announced: Monday, July 28, 2025

Throughout the summer, our Recreation team will be popping up in parks across the County to spotlight some of the County of Brant's hidden, and not-so-hidden, gems. Come out and enjoy free family activities and games while exploring everything our parks have to offer!

Join us on Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Burford Lions Art Cadman Park (78 Maple Ave N, Burford) as we celebrate our first ever Park vs Park champion!
We’re excited to partner with the Burford Lions Club for this event as they mark their 80th anniversary! The Lions will have food on-site to keep you fueled for the fun.

The results are in and the Park vs. Park showdown has officially crowned its 2025 champion — Burford Lions Art Cadman Park in Ward 4, with an impressive 67 votes!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted and helped celebrate the County’s beautiful green spaces and playgrounds. Your enthusiasm and community spirit made this campaign a huge success and reminded us just how much we all love our local parks.
Honourable mentions go to:
- Paris Lions Park (Ward 3) – 28 votes
- Onondaga Ball Park (Ward 5) – 22 votes
These parks showed strong community support and remain beloved favourites in their neighbourhoods!
The Park vs. Park campaign may be over, but the fun doesn’t stop here. With parks of every size and style spread across the County of Brant from hidden gems to well-loved landmarks — we encourage everyone to get out and explore the incredible variety of green spaces we have right here in Brant.
