Council approved updates to its Firearms Bylaw

The County of Brant has approved updates to its Firearms Bylaw maps to reflect recent growth and make it clearer where firearms and bows cannot be discharged.

The revised maps add newly developed residential areas and update rural mapping for clarity. Many of the newly mapped areas were already restricted through zoning, and the update simply makes these rules easier for residents to understand.

We would like to thank community members who took the time to review the maps and share feedback during engagement. Your input helped inform the final updates.

These changes are now in effect and will be available through the County’s public GIS system to support transparency and community safety. To see the maps, please visit brant.ca/firearms.
