Infrastructure Project Update

The multi-year infrastructure project on Dundas Street East, Paris Road, and Oak Park Road continues to make great progress.

By extending municipal wastewater services to this area, local businesses can transition off private septic systems. This upgrade will streamline operations, support business expansions, and help the County attract more jobs closer to home - with a projection to create 1,500 new local jobs.

Current Status

  • Paris Road: Open to two-way traffic; base asphalt and utilities are complete. Forcemain sanitary sewer (75% complete), curbs and sidewalks (75% complete), and final paving remain.
  • Governors Road East: Eastbound sanitary services, watermain, base asphalt and curbs are done. Westbound lane work including sanitary main and service installation, final paving, curbs and sidewalks are still pending.
  • Dundas Street East (Governors to CN Bridge): Underground mains are complete. Curb, sidewalk, and intersection (Green Ln and Consolidated Dr) storm sewer work remain.
  • Dundas Street East (CN Bridge to Curtis): Storm sewers and watermains are installed. Road base preparation, curbs and sidewalks are next. Sanitary sewer installation remains.
  • CN Bridge: Watermain bypass is complete. North side work is delayed due to watermain repairs which are expected to start in mid-October. Installation of sanitary sewer and stormwater main remain.


Upcoming Traffic Changes

A Public Notice will be shared with additional details including times lines and a detour map.

  • No through traffic, no local access, no emergency access to Green Lane from Dundas Street East⁠
  • Access to Green Lane via Consolidated Drive/Iarocci Boulevard – Detour signage to be posted⁠
  • No right turns from Paris Road to Governor’s Road East⁠
  • Westbound traffic only on Governor’s Road East east of Dundas Street East intersection – Eastbound traffic will detour along Paris Road.⁠


Construction Timeline

  • Stage 3 (Fall 2026): Finishing most of the major underground pipe installations and wrapping up deep excavation work.
  • Stage 4 (Spring 2027): Some underground work may remain. Placing final surface asphalt and completing site restorations.
