Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy

<p>Over the past three years multiple factors have affected the global economy due to COVID-19 causing major unexpected economic pressures and impacts. At the County, we are continually reevaluating our tactics to best support our local business community. The County of Brant is currently working on a refreshed municipal economic development strategy to further strengthen and diversify the local economy.</p><p>Recognizing the importance of inclusive decision-making and community involvement, our goal is to encourage feedback from our diverse community through our online survey, as well as our questions and comments tools. Economic Development Strategy Update: Advancing Brant’s Future

<p>Operating since 2019, <a href="https://www.brant.ca/en/roads-parking-and-transit/transit.aspx" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Brant Transit</a> is the County&rsquo;s public transportation program. We are currently seeking community feedback to better understand how satisfied you are with the Brant Transit service and how we can improve it.</p><p>Brant Transit&rsquo;s current service includes a fleet of vans that assist residents with transportation anywhere in the County of Brant as well as transportation from the County of Brant to the City of Brantford and from the City of Brantford to the County of Brant.</p><p>Brant Transit is fully accessible and cost effective with a flat fee for a one-way trip.</p><ul><li>Riders (Ages 13-54)&hellip;&hellip;&hellip;. $5</li><li>Seniors (Age 55+)&hellip;&hellip;&hellip;&hellip;.$3</li><li>Children (Ages 12 and under) and support persons are free</li></ul><p>Our current service is not the same as a taxi or an Uber, as Brant Transit is a shared ride service.
