Project update: February 2026

Below is an overview of the project timeline to-date as well as into 2029.

Study Start/End Date: 2023 - 2025

Design Start/End Date: 2025 - 2026

Proposed Construction Start/End Date: 2027 - 2029

Infrastructure included:

• Watermain
• Sanitary Sewers
• Stormwater
• Fire Service Upgrades
• Road Surface
• Intersection

Why? This study looked at expanding water, wastewater, and stormwater servicing in Cainsville and extending services to unserviced areas within the settlement boundary. The study prepares for long-term growth through to the year 2051 and will encourage new employment opportunities in the area. The design is now underway and construction is anticipated to start in 2027.
