This is a long-term planning project that will guide how land in the Cainsville Employment Area should be developed in the future. The goal is to create a premier employment hub, primarily consisting of industrial uses with supportive commercial businesses, and enhanced by transportation options, trails, green spaces, and strong urban design.

The strategy will influence how land is used in Cainsville. It may affect traffic patterns, types of businesses or developments allowed in the area, and the location of green spaces, roads, and trails. This project will help ensure that development meets community needs while supporting job creation and investment.

We want to hear what matters most to you—such as your thoughts on land uses, transportation needs, green spaces, commercial activity, and the overall vision for Cainsville’s future.

Public input will be reviewed and used to help shape the preferred land use concept. It will also guide the development of design guidelines and infrastructure planning to ensure that the strategy reflects community needs and priorities.

Alongside physically separating uses, each new industrial use will require studies and buffers such as landscaping, setbacks, and fencing to protect existing homes.
