Burford Village Square Chosen as the Community's Favourite

Thank you, Burford! After receiving so many creative naming ideas and an incredible level of community participation throughout this project, the results are in...

A total of 494 votes were cast in the public poll, with Burford Village Square receiving 61% of the vote, making it the community's clear favourite!

In keeping with the County of Brant's Park Naming Policy, Burford Village Square is the intended name for the new community gathering space.

The recommended name will be presented to the Administration and Operations Committee on July 21, followed by final consideration by County Council on July 28. These meetings are open to the public and can also be viewed online on the County of Brant YouTube Channel at brant.ca/Live(External link).

This project has been a true community effort from start to finish. Thank you to Burford Connects for their enthusiasm and partnership with this community initiative. We also want to thank everyone who submitted naming ideas, participated in the public vote, and helped shape this exciting new space.

We're looking forward to celebrating Burford Village Square as a welcoming place for the community to gather, connect, and enjoy for years to come!
